Afghani Chicken Fry | Chicken Afghani Fry Recipe | Chicken Afghani | Chicken Afghani Dry | Chicken Afghani Recipe | Afghani Chicken Recipe | Chicken Afghani Dry Recipe Ingredients: - Chicken, large pieces (preferably leg & thigh pieces) - 500 gms Items in marinade : - Whisked/ beaten curd - 5 tbsp - Cream - 5 tbsp - Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp - Green Chilli paste - 1 tsp - Kasuri Methi powder - 11/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp - Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp - Chaat Masala - 1 tsp - Saffron, soaked in 1 tbsp warm water - few strands - Salt to taste (1 tsp) - Juice of 1/2 lemon - Oil for pan frying the chicken - 3 tbsp - Piece of coal for smoking the marinated chicken - Ghee- few drops Preparation: - Clean & make slits in chicken pieces to help in marination. - Dry roast the Kasuri Methi in a pan for half a minute. Remove on to a plate & cool. Crush it into fine powder with your hand. - Make a paste of green chillies to give 1 tsp of the paste. Marination & smoking the marinated chicken: - Take a bowl & add all the ingredients for the marinade one after another. Mix well . - Add in all the chicken pieces into the marinade. Mix well . - Place a small bowl in the marinade to put the coal piece. - Now take a small piece of coal & keep on gas flame till it has red embers. - Hold it with a kitchen tong & place it in the small bowl. - Add a few drops of ghee on the coal. It will start to smoke. Cover the bowl immediately with a lid or plate so that the smoke remains inside the bowl. This smoke will give a unique tandoori flavour to the chicken - Set it aside in room temperature for around 1 hr. Add prepared onion paste and mix. Add ½ cup curd, 3 green chillies and mix. Marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes. Here, it has been in the fridge for an hour. To pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and heat it. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix. Close the lid and fry the chicken for 10 minutes on high flame and close the lid. After water seeps out of the chicken as shown, fry the chicken on medium flame. Fry till the water in the chicken boils away. Turn the heat down to low. Add curry leaves and mix. Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍 Ingredients Chicken-1kg Coconut oil- Pappad- Green chilli-10 Curryleaves- For the marination Ginger-1 medium piece Garlic-4cloves Green chilli-3 Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp Chilli Powder-1/2tbsp Small onion-4 Fennel seeds-one pinch Curry leaves -2 Water - Salt- Coconut oil-1tsp Lemon juice -3tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder-1 tbsp Garam Masala-1/4 tsp Pepper Powder-1/2tsp Rice Flour-1tbsp Curry leaves- Method Method In a large bowl take water and add 3tbsp curd ..Mix well .. Then soak chicken for minimum one hour … We are doing this to soften the chicken .. After one hour remove chicken from that water and wash well and cut into medium pieces … Again wash with vinegar and salt .. Wash and drain them ..Keep aside .. In the small jar add all the ingredients under the marination and make fine paste  by adding very little about of water.. Marinate chicken with this masala and keep the chicken in the fridge for minimum 30 minutes … Then heat oil and when the oil is medium hot ,add chicken pieces and fry them in both sides .. Do these in batches until all done ..First keep the fried chicken pieces in a strainer then transfer to a bowl with kitchen tissue.. Then in the same oil fry green chilli slits ,curry leaves… remove and strain and pour over chicken pieces.. Cut pappadam in to very small pieces and fry them also .. And finally fry the onion rings .. Decorate chicken fry with pappad,green chilli,curry leaves and onion rings … Note : U can add normal chilli powder ,I used kashmiri coz for my kids …  So U can increase the spice level according to ur taste buds .. In this video, I am sharing an oil free chicken fry roast for weight loss, this zero oil weight loss chicken fry is cooked in coconut milk without any extra added oil. This diet chicken recipe is super delicious, tasty, and healthy! a perfect dish for weight loss and weight management. Ingredients: Chicken with bones (bone-in chicken): 900 gms for the garam masala: 1/2 tsp saunf 1/4 tsp jeera 1 inch cinnamon stick 1/2 tsp black peppercorns 1/2 of a star anise 1/3 of a mace 6 cardamon 1/2 tsp cloves 1/2 of a star anise a small piece of nutmeg ------ 1 sprig of curry leaves 1 1/2 inch ginger 1 garlic pod 4 green chilies (use 2 if you want less spice) 15 shallots ----- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder 1 whole lemon 1 - 1 1/2 tsp salt or as needed ------ keep marinated for 15-20 mins--- 300 ml coconut milk from 1/2 coconut 2 sprigs of curry leaves -------- Grind the garam masala, keep aside half grind ginger, garlic, shallots, curry leaves coarsely. add turmeric, kashmiri chilli powder, salt and the ground masala into the chicken. Marinate the chicken for 15-20 mins. Extract coconut milk from freshly grated coconut (you can also use storebought /canned coconut milk. Add coconut milk to a heavy bottomed pan or kadai - iron skillet works best and I am using a deep skillet Add the marinated chicken into the coconut milk. Cook as instructed in the video. It will take 40-45 mins to get the chicken roasted in my heavy bottomed cast iron pan. Garnish with the kept aside garam masala and curry leaves. Grind together mint leaves, chopped coriander, green chillies and 1/4th teaspoon salt roughly. 2. Wash and drain medium sized pieces of chicken with bones. 3. Tawa Fry Chicken is very popular Indian starter recipe. Here I have fried the marinated chicken into the tawa/frying pan. It is very tasty, easy and quick recipe. So lets learn how to prepare Tawa Fry Chicken recipe with me only on Soumali's Kitchen. INGREDIENTS: Chicken - 300g, boneless/with bone, Curd - 150g, thick and nicely beaten, Chickpeas flour - 2 tsp, Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp, Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp, Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp, Fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp, Salt to taste, Lemon juice - 1 tbsp, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Oil - 1/2 cup, METHOD: Marinate the chicken with mentioned ingredients except oil and keep into the refrigerator for 1 hour. Heat the oil in a pan put chicken pieces one by one and fry it till golden brown and also nicely tendered. Turn the another side to cook it properly. When it become nicely tendered take out from the pan. Serve with salad and green chutney.
