I’ll tell you how a volcano works First, let's see where most take place Most active volcanos occur at boundaries between Tectonic Plates Most are found in the Ring of Fire that encircles the Pacific Ocean to date The stratovolcanoes are the most destructive their common type of eruption’s Plinian. Which is highly dangerous and explosive Stratovolcano are most commonly found in Subduction Zones I’ll explain what this is in this animation that is shown Subduction Zones are boundaries between two tectonic plates Where the ocean plate is sinking into the mantle beneath another tectonic plate I am a volcano I’d lava if You’d learned a bit more about me I am a Volcano You can find me on land or in the sea At a Subduction Zone a thick Oceanic Plate slides under a thicker Continental Plate The oceanic plate is saturated with water Which it drags down into the Earth Then around 60 miles deep That water that is trapped inside Is then released This reduces the melting point of the surrounding rock allowing it to melt This melted rock cools as it rises Up the Main Ven,t it’s felt That magma that reaches the surface is Silica-rich and thick The gases released while melting get trapped in Large Bubble like this When one of these bubbles reaches the surface it does bursts Which causes an explosive volcanic eruption at it’s worst The smoke is a mix of water vapor, carbon dioxide, sulfur gas and ash The Lava Flow runs down the Volcano destroying all in it’s path I hope you enjoyed this lesson that was given to you Please Like this video and comment below After the song is through

Do you know how Volcanoes Work? What makes Volcanoes Erupt? Mother Earth is here to explain. Volcanoes are openings on the Earth’s surface where LAVA escapes. Confused about Lava vs Magma? Lava is another word for molten rock (magma) when it escapes above the Earth’s crust. In this video, we’ll learn about the layers of the Earth, and how the core (the very center) is VERY hot and under a lot of pressure. It’s so hot, it heats up the other layers, and some of the rocky layers underground melt into MAGMA. Eventually the pressure builds up, and the magma escapes to the surface as LAVA! Have you ever seen a volcano erupting? At the end of our video, you’ll get to see a VOLCANO MONTAGE so be sure to watch to the end for that exciting finish! Friends come with me and these kids playing toys volcanos at the beach on Maui! Tag along with Logan, Kailey, Trey, Cole, and Zaeden as they make a volcano science experiment for kids with vinegar and baking soda. In today's family fun kids show adventure, Logan and daddy, along with family and friends, create a very cool science experiment for kids at the beach. First they start at home with Logan and daddy exploring the idea creating easy science experiments like a sand volcano at the beach. Next they're at a beautiful sandy beach with friends and family. Daddy asks the kids if they want to make a big giant volcano on the beach and they all say YES! Next, daddy and the kids begin shoveling sand and creating a large mountain of sand near the water's edge. Then they put a small container in the top of their kids beach volcano experiment to hold the vinegar and baking soda that'll make it erupt. Next, Logan and daddy add the baking soda first, followed by some food coloring, and finally they pour the vinegar in to the top of their volcano making it erupt lava down the sides of their volcano. It was a very cool volcano experiment for kids and something daddy highly recommends to create a learning experience out of a simple project that involves kids playing with toys. After their spectacular volcano eruption at the beach they transform the volcano in to a Logan volcano as they bury him in sand atop the volcano mountain and pour water over his head. Next, they jump on a paddle board and paddle around the outer reef areas exploring sea creatures and reef formations. When they get back to shore from their ocean exploration, now it's time to destroy their sand volcano mountain using sand toys, boogie boards, and their hands and feet. Finally, they end one of their favorite kids playing toys YouTube videos so far by some footage of Logan and his first snorkeling experience. More on this in an upcoming video. Friends, come play toys with me friends and subscribe here: Ryan ToysReview Science Experiment for Kids with Volcano Baking Soda and Vinegar - baby's adventure Baby toys balls with Elsa and Kids Children playing with balls video for kids -

At the beginning of the journey and the first question asked is, what is a volcano? Volcanoes are openings in the earth's surface. A volcano is a landform, that is usually a mountain, where molten rock erupts through the surface of the planet. How are these volcanoes formed? These volcanoes are formed when magma from the earth's upper mantle works its way to the surface. At this surface, it erupts to form lava flows and ash deposits. As the volcano continues to erupt, it will get bigger and bigger. Are there different types of volcanoes? Yes, actually there are four types of volcanoes. The first type is called the Cinder Cones which are circular or oval cones and they are made up of small fragments of lava. The second type is the Composite Volcanoes which are steep sided volcanoes and are made of many layers of volcanic rocks, they are usually made of high-viscosity lava, ash and rock debris. The third type is the Shield Volcanoes, these volcanoes are shaped like a bowl or shield in the middle with long gentle slopes made by basaltic lava flows. The fourth and last type if known as the Lava Volcanoes; lava domes are formed when erupting lava is too thick to flow and makes a steep-sided mound as the lava piles up. Since volcanoes are part of the earth and happen in it, it is important that kids know more about the earth and its layers. How many layers is the earth made of and what are they? There are three different layers that the earth is made of and they are the crust which is about 18 miles thick and this is the one we live on, the second layer is called mantle and this is about 1,800 miles thick and the third layer is called the core. What are the different stages of volcanoes? There are three main stages of volcanoes out there, these stages include the active, the dormant and the extinct. An active volcano is the one that has recently erupted and there is a possibility that it might erupt soon. A dormant volcano has not erupted in a long time but there is also a possibility for it to erupt soon. An extinct volcano is the one that erupted thousands of years ago and there is no possibility for it to erupt anytime soon. How do these volcanoes erupt? The earth's crust is made up of huge slabs called plates, these fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Between the earth's crust and the mantle is the magma, which is made of rock and gases. When two plates collide, one section slides on top of the other, the one beneath is pushed down and magma is squeezed up between the two plates. Continuing with the different questions that kids might ask when it comes to volcanoes and understanding everything related to them, they might also ask about what will happen in an eruption? Actually eruptions can cause lateral blasts, lava flows, hot ash flows, mudslides, avalanches, falling ash and floods. Volcanic eruptions have been known to knock down entire forests, and an erupting volcano can also trigger tsunamis (, flash floods and earthquakes ( What is the difference between lava and magma? When the magma erupts through the earth's surface, it is called lava and this is the first difference. Magma is actually the liquid rock inside the volcano, while the lava is the liquid rock that flows outside the volcano. What is the Ring of Fire? Over half of the world's volcanoes arise in a belt around the pacific ocean called the Ring of Fire. How many volcanoes are there in the world? A good question to be asked because kids will be wondering! There are around 1,510 active volcanoes in the world! and some of them are even under the oceans. What is the largest active volcano? Mauna Loa in Hawaii, where famous coffee is actually grown in the rich volcanic soils! This active volcano in Hawaii is actually taller than Mount Everest, it is 13,677 feet above sea level. There are general information related to volcanoes which are interesting to know about, it starts with the origin of the word "volcano" itself which is believed to come from the name of the Roman God of Fire, Vulcan. The second interesting yet scary piece of information is about the 350 million people who actually live in the world within danger range of an active volcano! Kids could also explore more about other natural disasters like tornadoes which they will find a video for on our channel ( We hope that this was an interesting video with useful information for your kids! Enjoy watching along with them and know more about volcanoes and their vocabulary! Let us know your feedback when you finish and tell us whether the kids enjoyed it or not!

To understand how a volcano erupts, we’ll first need to take a look at the structure of the Earth. Earth has different layers which include the inner and outer core, the mantle and the crust. We’ll focus on the mantle and crust as this is where all the volcanic action takes place. The crust is the outermost layer, as well as the thinnest layer on Earth. Right below the crust is the mantle, where temperatures can reach up to 1000 degrees Celsius. Due to the high temperatures and the increased pressure in the mantle, rocks can melt to form molten rock or magma. That took some thinking!
