UTTARAKHAND THC DAIRIES - Best High Tea & Evening Snacks cooked among The Himalayan Ranges in Khirsu, Uttarakhand, India. Chocolate Apple Doughnut dripped in chocolate syrup with Cheese Omelet drenched in melted cheese and the toast of Rum-Chah ( Rum Tea ) shots. The beautiful destination, Khirsu, added ecstasy to the High Tea. Khirsu is 40 KM away from Srinagar, Uttarakhand. Wander around Khirsu in THC style with the Best High Tea Snacks ever enjoyed with the view of Khirsu. Please Share this video and the experience: https://youtu.be/vPao9x6XxAo To know more about Khirsu and the Recipe details continue reading. Our first THC Trip wandered around the Himalayan Ranges in the Garhwal region in Uttarakhand, India. 350 KM away from Delhi, Srinagar of Uttarakhand was THC’s 1st beautiful destination among the mountains with a mind curious to live free, roam around, explore, cook what mind craves and eat, while your eyes finding blissful views. Such experience was life-changing. It changed our equations about life and there on goes the THC travel diaries. UTTARAKHAND THC DAIRIES travels and cooks around the Tehri Garhwal and Paudi Garhwal region with cook spots being: 1) Khirsu, Uttarakhand 2) Sirobagad, Bank of River Alaknanda 3) Arkhun We took shelter in Arkhun Village 12 km from Srinagar of Uttarakhand at our very own THC’ite ‘s maternal ancestral home. Arkhun is a mountain belly village, 12-15 families residing at the belly of a mountain in the uneven grounds with an even lifestyle. Early mornings are the best part of Arkhun with clouds, mists, fog and beautiful mountains dancing in front. 4 days sheltered at Arkhun revealed many mysteries about the Belly Village. Stories have been woven from real incidents like there’s a hilltop where you can see fairies dancing around midnight. One should not witness this cause they believe doing so WILL get you killed. Leopards are among the villager’s distant relatives who quite often bid a visit (mostly post-midnight). Doesn’t harm, if not provoked. This is Arkhun, Mysterious Beauty, less known, less traveled but has plenty to offer to the visitors and admirers. Khirsu stood out as our Day 1 Cook Destination after all the suggestion from the localites. Having local support is a blessing you take along the trip. The road towards Khirsu is tempting. It makes you think, at least for once, if you could fly. The scenic view is never ending and thus dilemma lies “what to just stare on, and what to capture". Beautiful mountain laps changing sides, the highs and lows along the route. The road towards Khirsu - A road trip where you can’t get bored as the mountains play along. The cook location at Khirsu was an impulsive trigger. One glimpse from the roads into the depths of the mountain clicked and registered and thus the Evening High Tea & Snacktime took place at Khirsu. RECIPE DETAILS: The location and the view demanded a high tea with a hot and sweet flavor for the tongue as the eye had its arrangement. Ingredients and Instructions: CHOCOLATE APPLE DOUGHNUT Handsome Apple -1 ( 4-5 Doughnut discs) Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate- As much as you like (Never goes waste) Vegetable Oil For the batter (1 teaspoon all) Corn Flour Gram Flour Baking Powder (keep it less) Cut apple in the shape of disc, dip it in chocolates by the outer ring, dip into the thick batter properly and deep fry till gets golden. CHEESE OMELET 2 eggs Onion chopped as you like Green chili chopped Salt- as your tongue demands Butter Seasoning spice ( Maggie Masala is my Fav) Cheese cubes Aloo Bhuijya for garnishing Make the omelet batter just like other breakfast days with chopped onion, green chilli and a pinch of salt. Beat the Batter. Heat the frying pan and put some butter. Do not let the butter go dark, put the omelet batter on the pan and leave it on low flame for 3-5 minutes. Now add your favorite seasoning spice like I used Maggie masala, and load the omelet with grated cheese and cover the lid for 2 minutes. Once your eyes are satisfied enough to see the cheese melt garnish with Aloo Bhujiya or anything of your choice end finish it up as you like. RUM-CHAH SHOTS Rum: 60 ml for 2 shot Milk Tea leaf Sugar Add sugar to the milk and let it get warm, then add the tea leaf and let it boil, once started boiling add 60 ml Rum leave for a minute and sip with sound. ( If you have a sore throat then add black pepper and a bit of garlic to the tea. Rum heals too) GO OUT and TRY in THC style. Tag us and share your experience. Completed 27 km bicycle circuit that surrounds Lake Varese. It took 2.45 hours to complete the track but it was one of the most scenic routes I have been to. Luxuriant nature, the blue of the lake and charming thanks to the picturesque views that bring together the green of lush vegetation. Occasional uphill sections, passing though Sanctuary of the Madonna del Lago in Azzate ,beautiful wooden bridges along the way. Journey is breathtaking and fresh. 4 Sept 2016 Anand

Hi guys, this week I'm going to test a new video format, in the form of a running diary. This includes my thoughts before, during and after my training runs, cross training and strength training. I'm going to share some of my training challenges, the good, the bad, the opportunities and the things I'm learning. Hopefully you can learn a few things along the way as well.  Please let me know in the comments, what do you think about this video format? Would you like to see more of these videos? What other videos and subject would you like to see more of?  TRANSCRIPT: First Run in 10 Days, So Nice to Be Running Again! Saturday, October 7th, 2017 - I haven't really worked out in a full week. My ear drum got punctured, I have a hole in it. I fell with my head flat on the water while surfing last week. Kind of out of it this week, out of balance, had a hard time hearing. So I took it very easy. Focused on sleep, focused on rest. Now after a full week off, going out for a slow little jog tonight. I don't have another marathon race until April 2018, so I have plenty of time to get in shape. Therefore I'm going to slowly build up the miles again. It's a full moon, not sure if you can see it. That was a nice, mellow, 3 mile / 5km run. It's funny how much better you can feel after just going out for a mellow run. I didn't work out all week, both kids were sick with a fever. I had my own cold going on this week as well. That cold, in combination with my injured leg and my ear, I just really took it easy. I started feeling slow in my head and a bit down. Even now, just a short 3 mile / 5km run and your stress hormones / cortisol levels go down. Your Serotonin / Happiness Hormones increase, this is why I enjoy running. Finishing up a run and feeling all happy again. Slowing Down in Running and Watching Animals in Nature! Sunday, October 8th, 2017  12:30pm - It's nice out, good weather to go out for a run without a shirt on!  Get some extra Vitamin D going! I always start out with a few minutes of just walking, to get my heart rate up slowly. Normally my heart rate in rest is mid forties. Once I start walking and walking a bit faster, it will go up to 70 or 80 beats. From there on I will start jogging slowly. My leg is starting to feel better, it has been 2 weeks since my slam. The scabs are coming off, not sure if you can see it on this video. So my leg is pretty much better. The only thing that needs to get sorted out is my ear. My ear should get back to normal in the next few weeks. Let's start running, let's do this! So lucky, it's October and you can just go outside running without a shirt on. I always try to run against traffic. Even here on this road, there are no sidewalks or bike paths, so at least you see the cars coming, no surprises. It's always Hit or Miss running at the Back Bay with the high water. If it's high tide from the Ocean water coming into the Back Bay, the running trail definitely gets very narrow... ohhh... I am stuck. Alright, we'll go back. Back track a bit, I always like this trail, but it's not working well today. This is such a fun trail, there is no one out here. Super mellow, there are a lot of birds flying, so I like to come here. Nice 4 mile / 6.4km jog done and done! Felt really good. It's so nice to go out there by the Back Bay. I live in Orange County, in Costa Mesa. Going to be here for another week, before we move to Irvine. It's so nice to go out to your local running trail and see some of the wild life! I had a few Hawks come by pretty close, I was face to face with one within 10 feet (3 meters). Then I just stopped running, looked at the animal and just enjoyed the moment. It's all about having fun out there. If you see something cool, be fully present and enjoy it! Nice 4 miler, that's 7 miles / 11.3km for the week, not much at all, however I'm happy to be out there running again. Home Remodeling for Strength Training Monday, October 9th, 2017 - Here is a little cross training, a 2 mile / 3.2 km skateboard ride with my 4 year old daughter to drop her off at school. She weights 35 pounds / 16kg. Daddy is going to work at the new house. Today I carried a lot of old flooring down the stairs and brought new flooring up. 50 times up and down the stairs carrying heavy flooring. My entire upper body and legs felt like a solid work out during and after. This helped me reach ten thousand foot steps for the day. TripAdvisor: TripAdvisor tells you why Kerala's Munnar is a must visit tourist destination in India. Kolukkumalai ( கொழுக்குமலை) is a small village/hamlet in Bodinayakanur Taluk in the Theni District of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is home to the highest tea plantations in the world with the tea grown here possessing a special flavour and freshness because of the high altitude. Kolukkumalai is about 7,130 feet (2,170 m) above sea level and lies some 32 kilometres (20 mi) from Munnar. The hill top village is accessible only by jeep due to rugged and rain drenched roads covering upto 17 km. It is about a one and a half hour journey from Munnar town. The exact location of kolukkumalai is in Theni district (Tamilnadu). Located 70 Km away from Bangalore, Savandurga hills is a Nature's beauty in short. The roads are great and the route is filled with vibrant colors to keep you engaged and happy. Well, the trek however is not for lazy! It's approximately 3.5KM uplhill and climbing down on the slippery steep slope is no joke! Pack your bags with enough Liquids as you will need more than that! I recommend the place and hope you will be able to see the world from top.. you can hardly see any human.. trucks seems like ant from the highest Vantage point.

Gandikota is a small village on the right bank of the river Pennar, 15 km from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. We also visited Belum caves which is around 60 kms from Gandikota. Belum Caves is the largest tourist cave in Indian subcontinent and the longest caves in plains of Indian Subcontinent, known for its stalactite and stalagmite formations These two places are very underrated. Do visit them if, if you get free time!

A compilation of videos from my 3 month motor scooter journey of Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi. A challenging yet adventurous journey, I completed about 7,000 kilometers and visited over 28 different cities and towns. From the crowded, bustling cities to the coastal paradises, over mountains and through the jungles, this was an experience I will never forget. Shout out to all the fellow travellers I met along the journey and the locals who gave a helping hand when I needed it.
