Two accused involved in theft of online electronic items meant for delivery to customers nabbed – 70 cellphones, two laptops, one Tata ACE, one two wheeler and Rs.88,000/- cash seized from their possession (All worth Rs.14 Lakhs) The sleuths of SOT, L.B.Nagar zone, Rachakonda on credible information apprehended (2) respondents who were involving in cheating and theft of electronic items of online marketing deliverable items of SME and Logistics (P) Ltd at Tadbun (Amazon, Express-B & E-commerce Courier Services) Details of accused: 1. Adarla Mahesh S/o Yadaiah age:24 Occ:Tata Ace owner/driver Caste:SC (Madiga) R/o Sarlaravullapally (v) Mucherla (GP) Kandukur 2. Dharavath Mohan S/o Kishan age:20 Occ:Tata Ace cleaner Caste: Lambada R/o H.No.3-27/3 Gaddigudem thanda, Nadiwada (GP) Mahboobabad Ph.no.9573023429 3. Banavath Ravi R/o Mahboobabad (Absconding) History & Modus operandi: The accused A-1 Mahesh worked as driver of Tata Ace in SME and Logistics (P) Ltdhaving its office in Begumpet from 2014 to January 2016. Later he purchased his own Tata Ace vehicle and kept it in SME Company on hire for a monthly rent of Rs.60,000/-. He was self-driving the vehicle and six months back he kept A-2 Mohan as its cleaner. SME Company is the head courier service which receives items ordered by customers online and dispatches them to various branches for delivery to the customers who ordered them. In case of non-delivery of the items or refusal by the customers to accept the items the local branches collects the same and sends them back to SME and Logistics (P) Ltd, which packs the same in bulk bags to return the same through transporters. SME Company hands over the same to A-1, A-2 and A-3 for handing over the same to transporters the next morning. The accused used to keep the bulk bags with them for the night and handover the same to transporters the next morning. Taking advantage of this the accused hatched a plan and used to unzip the bulk bags and every time remove 4 to 5 items from them and re-zip the same and handover to the transporters. This has been going on for quite a long time and they have thefted nearly 70 to 80 cellphones of different brands and sold some of them in the nearby shop and to his known people in Kandukur and kept the remaining with them for selling them later. When SME and Logistics (P) Ltdgrew suspicious on the continuous missing of electronic items from the bulk bags, they caused enquiries and came to know about the role of the accused in the missing of cellphones. Hence they lodged complaint with Kandukur P.S and a case in Cr.No.252/16 is registered against the accused. On credible information SOT, L.B.Nagar Zone, Rachakonda apprehended the accused Mahesh and Mohan on 29-12-16 and the following items seized from them and handed over to Kandukur P.S. 1. Tata Ace Auto -1 (No. TS 08UB 6403) 2. Hero Honda Passion Plus -1 (No. TS 08EF 3705) 3. HP Laptops -2 4. Mobile Phones -70 5. Net cash Rs.88,000/- all W/Rs.14,00,000/- The arrests were made under the supervision of Sri K.Narsing Rao, Inspector I/c SOT, Rachakonda by Sri Kasi Vishwanath Sub-Inspectorand staff of SOT, L.B.Nagar, Rachakonda
