Garen thinks he is the biggest Doom fan in the world by getting a Doom cake. This is the only bit of jealousy any Doomer can get from him.

Television is a ubiquitous part of any child’s young life and helps them to see another window to the world they wouldn’t see otherwise. All of us have those shows from our past that we loved unconditionally as kids and still carry with us into adulthood nostalgia. On the flipside, we also all have those shows that made us feel funny, disturbed, and downright scared and you’d all be pleased to know that tradition of adults frightening children via the use of puppets and psychedelic imagery took place all over the world and is still going strong today. Strap in and I’ll take you on a ride through some of the creepiest and most bizarre television shows ever created for children, a ride you may never recover from. →Subscribe for new videos every day! → → GET A T-SHIRT - →Top 10 Objects That Were Clearly Invented Just to Annoy Physics: →Simon's VLOG: Entertaining and educational top 10 lists from TopTenzNet! Yet another reupload of an episode that got nibbled on by the YT bots. The changes to this posting are minimal: The end music has been tweaked and I’ve gone back and resynced the Shakey’s ad (something that managed to slide right past me the first time around). That’s about it. Original Tagline: The 13th episode of the Archive proves to be a very unlucky one for your humble host. This time, we look at some choice (well, sort of choice) local kid's shows dating from the early 1950's through the late '90's. (13 Jan 2017) Even as a child, Roberto Shimizu loved collecting things. So when his Japanese immigrant father opened a stationary and toy store in Mexico City in 1940, Shimizu began a lifelong quest to save and collect toys. More than seven decades years later, that youthful fascination lives on in the Antique Toy Museum, a four-story building packed with objects that transport visitors back to a nostalgic past. Tucked in the middle of the capital's historic but seedy Doctores neighbourhood, it is stuffed with Lego, superhero action figures, robots, model airplanes, trains and Hello Kitty. There are also "lucha libre" wrestling masks and old traditional Mexican toys and other playthings that are reminders of the country's once-robust toy industry that has all but disappeared following the enactment of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Shimizu still helps out occasionally, but the museum is now run by his son, Roberto Y. Shimizu Kinoshita, who is having to struggle following a congressional decision to stop allocating cultural funds for the collection. "It is very sad that once again the budgets destined for culture are the ones most punished," the younger Shimizu said at the opening of a recent Barbie doll exhibit. The Domesday Project (spelt Doomsday Project by some) was a collaboration between the BBC, Acorn Computers, Philips and Logica to create a digital and updated version of the 1086 Domesday book. This digital version would use the latest in cutting edge interactive video and be held on the latest LaserDisc technology. Aided by schools across the country, in a huge national collaboration project, this would be an enormous project spanning 2 years and collecting a huge range of data from the UK. Alongside this data were photos, stories and even the ability to walk around several UK towns. Just like Google Earth or Streetview in the 1980s. You can actually experience real 1980s street footage, which you control. If you want a window into the 80s, then this is the multimedia machine to use. All this is the exciting 80s I remember. Packed with emerging technology and exciting projects, and its one reason I love it. Thank you, as always, to the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge for allowing me to film and use their glorious machinery. Dave Coulier, Don Oriolo, and a rejected plushie line wander aimlessly to stop an old bastard and his dog from committing global genocide to screw over Santa. Editor's Notes: Some parts towards the end I didn't have time to get to, so unfortunately, there's some missing annotes. I actually began editing this in November, but then finals, work fatigue, annotations dying, and other crap meant that I still ended up rushing this one out for Christmas. There's also the pop-up that shows up during the climax, which was something that just reared it's ugly head in the recording. The reason I didn't just replace it with clean footage was because the clean footage I downloaded has less horizontal space than the captured video, which meant that whenever I had to do something over and I needed the clean video, I'd have to fill in the missing space with a cropped bit from the recording. If I had used that method with the pop-up, it would still be slightly visible because it's permanently part of the footage needed to fill the missing space. Honestly, I think I just accidentally skipped the Pointdexter "closer" scene. It's so forgettable that I forgot it was even there. _ The Annotation Station: The Annotated Discord: The Annotated Screencaps:

It was inevitable that, at some point, we'd talk about old video games. This is that time. Links for the new mini-consoles: [nb: affiliate links to Amazon. When I started my channel I was originally called RebelWithoutApplause and I did a bunch of videos that I've locked away in sheer embarrassment. A lot of them were influenced by the creators I was really enjoying at the time like Cinema Snob, Cyr, and a bunch of others. I figured I'd share some of these videos with you in a new series called Zane's Lost Video Archive. This first episode is a video I did about my distaste for the term "90's kids" and all the hate that modern popular culture gets. This was recorded probably a year and a half or so ago. I hope you enjoy! LIKE! COMMENT! SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE!
