Piano Performance: “Vendetta” by Ananya Vinayak, student of Lorraine Music Academy at the concert “Come India Sing A Christmas Carol – A Musical Morning Heralding The Christmas Season” organised by the Lorraine Music Academy & the LAMP Trust on Sunday 14th December 2014 @ 11am. HEAVEN ON EARTH by Lorraine Music Academy! The concert, held at Epicentre auditorium, was like heaven on earth. Around 60 students of Lorraine Music Academy participated. An auditorium of encouraging and appreciative parents and friends listened with rapt attention to angelic children, teenagers and youth aged 4 to 25 years singing traditional Christmas Carols among many others. Students performed various pieces on the Piano, Guitar, Drums and sang various songs! Aubrey Aloysius gave a welcome speech addressing children, youth and the audience gathered, explaining the National Building Project “Come India Sing” using music as a tool. The concert was dedicated to the National Patriotic Project “Come India Sing Jana Gana Mana”. “Silent Night”, the ‘Universal Intangible Cultural Heritage song’ as declared by the United Nations in March 2011, was sung in German by Rishaan Bhatnagar aged 8 years and in English by Aubrey Aloysius while the audience joined in nostalgically remembering their school days of singing. Rishaan Bhatnagar, a student of Piano and Singing at the Lorraine Music Academy over the past 3 years, has been selected to go to Vienna and sing with the Vienna Boys Choir. He will study music in Vienna for 5 years and will be a part of the prestigious Vienna Boys Choir touring the world. The Musical Evening included a brief workshop embedded in the concert to educate and encourage the audience to abide by the Constitution of India and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem. This included an explanation and training on the proper singing of the National Anthem as per the code as laid out in the Constitution – in the right rhythm, melody and timing. Aubrey Aloysius, founder of the Lorraine Music Academy and the LAMP Trust, and Chairman of the National Patriotic Project, says “Music is food for the soul. Good food and good exercise gives you good physical stability. A good diet of the right kind of music gives you mental, emotional, intellectual and spiritual stability. Music helps the creative process and sparks the imagination and ideas. When this musical imagination and experience of singing our National Anthem is ignited in a group circumstance, we have the most extraordinary power to change young lives for positive living and nation-building. The “Come India Sing” series of musical initiatives aims to unite children, youth and their families in the Nation Building task, promoting the key initiatives of our Government for cleanliness, hygiene, good health & development through music. Music helps to develop and build the scientific temper among children. Music, science and mathematics are co-related. It has been scientifically proved that music develops mathematical skills. When we study music, we have vibrations, frequency, resonance, tension, mass, length, pitch, harmonics, overtones – attributes that connect physics to music! We desire that every child and youth of the nation makes music their best friend for their life time, thereby stirring their creative talents. Music will also enable them to better handle stress in life ahead and help them keep the straight and narrow path.” This concert was a part of the nation building “Come India Sing” initiative and movement. This concert was in aid of raising awareness, support and resources for the “Come India Sing...” series of Nation Building initiatives utilising music as a tool. This series of initiatives, events & participative activities forms a part of the ongoing National Patriotic Project “Come India Sing Jana Gana Mana” that was launched on 15th August 2013, our Independence Day. The National Patriotic Project “Come India Sing Jana Gana Mana” is a clarion call to 1.27 Billion Indians to stand together for one cause – the Unity of India, by singing one song – our National Anthem, in the correct code as laid out in the Constitution of India, which is around 52 seconds. www.ComeIndiaSing.com www.LorraineMusicAcademy.com www.lamp-india.org

"The Marco Polo" is a song I have uploaded previously, but using inferior equipment, so as I have a new guitar I am uploading a new version of it. The song was written by Hugh Jones of "The Spinners", a Liverpool folk group who were very popular in the 60s, 70s, & 80s and who performed here in the Isle of Man regularly.
