The woman who invented Mother's Day came to hate it!news cnn ===================================================== She just wanted to honor her mom Long before her death, Jarvis' mom Ann Reeves Jarvis hoped someone would dedicate a day to honor mothers. When she died on May 9, 1905, Jarvis set out to do just that. She began campaigning not only for her mom but for moms everywhere. It started off with her hometown of Grafton, West Virginia, which takes credit for hosting the first official Mother's Day celebration three years later at Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church. Since then, the church has been dubbed the "International Mother's Day Shrine." In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill recognizing Jarvis' Mother's Day as a national holiday. ===================================================== LIKE | COMMENT | SHARE | SUBSCRIBE Thanks for watching.

Then we have a story of a black woman driving in Virginia accusing a white cop of "racism" and "threatening" to pull her out of her vehicle. As I've gotten older I realize that things are not always what they're supposed to be. The strained expressions and Colgate smiles in a family portrait never reveal what feelings lie deep within the troubled soul of a person. Oftentimes we assume that the younger family members will always be the ones with major issues. Mainly because this world as it is can be so hard to adjust to with the plethora of challenges being thrown at us from day to day externally as well as from within. We also expect age to bring maturity and wisdom and are shocked when we find that the graying hair and slowing steps of our Elders give no indication to the venom that they possess inside. Venom? Yes, a child who spent the entire weekend playing around and not taking the task of completing their homework in a timely fashion, we have Mothers out here who've never absorbed the lessons of their youth or haven't come to the terms of being held accountable with the bad choices of their past and become envious of the clean slates that their daughters have as they prepare to pursue their dreams out in the world. .......and this is more common than one could think. So every accomplishment that their happy child would make is greeted with a negative comment or a dream killing action that discourages them and drains their spirit. These heartbroken daughters can sometimes succumb to the devastation of depression during their younger years living under the same roof of their chameleon-like Mother as well as long after into their own maturing years because a mothers love is something that everyone needs in some form or another! Some will be blessed to figure it out and make the necessary emotional adjustments to overcome this venom filled stranger masquerading as a caring individual but most I believe maintain the open wounds that have them wondering what did they do to deserve this continuous pain that they never asked for. You see, these types of Mothers will come to your aid when you are down in life because that's the only time that they can feel superior to your accomplishments or your potential. But OH if you meet a new love interest that appears to be a prospect for the long haul then watch out for the sabotage to begin! She will work day and night to find fault with that one who you really feel is the one for you and will bring in other family members and siblings into the fray to campaign against your happiness in the name of caring for you. But nothing could be further from the truth as at the root of it all is a hate that can only be usurped from the bottomless pits of hell! It doesn't really surprise most who have Mothers like this but many women will always yearn for that time when their Mother comes out of here distant cold ways to be that one who shares that formerly elusive feeling of love and protection to that bleeding soul of a daughter whose inner child had been abandoned. But in actuality it never comes, like that bus that never arrived to the station and left you stranded, you now have to find your own way to receive the maternal love that you never had. Sometimes you can be blessed to receive it from an Aunt, a Grandmother or even that elderly Lady at the church. But if not, you can move through life in a broken state, not feeling as full in your spirit because of never receiving that reassuring from a Mother whom never complimented you, always blamed you in a major way for the little mistakes that we make growing up and never allowing you to not feel chastised for events and happenings that you never had anything to do with. This truly hurts as I've dealt with several Ladies like this in relationships that range from acquaintances to marriage. And as a supportive friend or loving husband, nothing I could do could really take the pain away completely as my presence in that regard was merely a distraction. So at showtime I want us to delve into the deeper reasons why a Mother could be so hateful in action while pretending to be so caring to their daughters who are emotionally and mentally devastated beyond measure. I also would like hear from those who have suffered through this type of dysfunctional treatment and how they've dealt with it to overcome or are still in the throes of pain seeking help from those who have defeated it. Let's have an evening of healing, embracing and support as we touch on a topic that most will never acknowledge out of denial. Hasn't it gone on too long? Isn't it time that we break the shackles of another person toxicity in order to finally live a happy life? I look forward to reading your comments on this episode of The LanceScurv Show. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Jennifer Holliday: Is She Wrong To Perform At Donald Trump's Inauguration? - The LanceScurv Show" -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

SUBSCRIBE If you like my channel: ► Hello! This is Jenny. It’s a bit sad to say this, but her dad is an alcoholic. But don’t assume that she's therefore going to talk about domestic violence. She loves her dad; he might just have the sweetest personality of anyone she's ever known. And maybe that's the real reason why he drinks. Here's Jenny's experience. Her life was completely normal until she turned 12. Jenny had very loving parents. Her mom was a very energetic woman and her dad was a nice calm guy. She takes more after her mom, and was growing up into an active and optimistic young woman. But one day, everything changed. Jenny's mom revealed that she had met another man, and she was moving to another city with him. And then it got even worse: "Jenny", she said, "I have no intention of going to court to make you live with me. I think you’d better stay with your dad – you spend your life here. It would be better for everyone". If you think this was horrible enough, Jenny has even more to tell you. She felt so betrayed by her mother, and so indignant. Really, is that the right way to treat your own children? At the same time, she realized that if her mother didn’t want her, then she needed to adjust. This is how she ended up staying with her dad. He was so sad – it must be so unpleasant when a woman you love decides that she doesn’t need you anymore. And so, he started relaxing with a drink or two in the evening. "Sorry, Jenny", he said, "it just makes me feel better. Do you mind?" One of her dad's rare defects was his lack of willpower. Jenny was still very young at the time and didn’t realize this fast enough. When it began to dawn on her that he had a problem, it was too late. Two drinks became four, four became eight, then he fell asleep in the armchair and Jenny had to help him towards the bedroom. He said he felt better, he didn’t feel so useless and lonely. At the time, he seemed to be just one step away from full-blown depression, but Jenny would have preferred it if he had taken some medication rather than drink himself into unconsciousness. The real tragedy started when he decided that he'd scared Jenny too much at home with his drinking and decided he had better go out to do it instead. The fact is that social alcoholism is the worst. He found some small filthy bars, disgusting pubs, horrible dens, where he would drink with other alcoholics and talk to them about his miserable life. He would cry and ask for forgiveness, and then promise to give it up. But he just couldn’t do it. The problem was that he now spent every evening drinking, and would crawl home rather than walk. Sometimes he came in with bruises. Sometimes, he forgot to come home. In those cases, Jenny would have to take a taxi and do a pub crawl of her own, looking for him. Not a nice environment for a teenage girl. Imagine it - she had to learn how to persuade his buddies to let him go home, and she sometimes even had to bring a baseball bat with her to make herself understood. Everyone knew that Jenny was not someone to mess with. Of course, she tried to keep her spirits up, but it was hard even for a tough person like her. She felt so sad and lonely, and every day those feelings grew. One day, she went into a bar to fetch her dad, and there was an enormous guy who claimed that her dad hadn’t paid. He was nearly senseless. Jenny doesn’t remember exactly how she managed to get out of there, but she brought her dad home feeling absolutely desperate. She didn’t have any hope left, and thought that she was doomed to spend the next few years searching for her drunk dad every night. It was a dead end. The next day she wanted to tell her dad that she had to leave him and go to her mom, or elsewhere - she just couldn’t take it anymore. She was crying, and her dad was looking at her with a horrified expression on his face – he had never seen her cry. This was the turning point, when he realized that he couldn’t do it anymore – to himself, but above all to his daughter. It was the first time she saw that her dad had willpower after all. The same day he went to his first AA session. The next day was Jenny's 15th birthday, and she decided to stay with her dad for some time to see if he could remain sober. It turned out that life is beautiful even without drinking. He repeats this every day, and constantly apologizes for those hellish three years. But Jenny's not offended, because she managed to learn a useful lesson even from that horror. Now, she's a wrestler, and quite a talented one – they say that she has the character of a warrior. She knows exactly which bars she got it from. Her dad comes to support her at all her competitions - straight from his AA meetings, absolutely clean. And she now knows that even if the situation is worse than you could ever imagine, there is always hope. Music by Epidemic Sound:

When Poppy turned 16 years old she got her first true boyfriend. His name was Aidan, he was super cute, and they were in a few classes together at school. In fact, they were assigned to be lab partners in chemistry class, which was unexpected but exciting for Poppy. They hit it off right away and the more she got to know him the more she liked him. Based on everything they talked about, she thought he was a pretty great guy, a perfect first boyfriend. They started spending more and more time together, which was great, but, sometimes she did feel that he wanted things to move a little more quickly than she did. Poppy was raised in a very religious Catholic family - and she had been taught that they were absolutely NOT supposed to do anything intimate or serious until after marriage. Even just at 16, a teenager, Aidan didn't agree with going slow and abstaining until after marriage. And, because he didn't agree, and because he felt like 16 was old enough to do anything they wanted, intimate or not, he always put a ton of pressure on Poppy to do things she didn't want to do. She pushed back, of course, but she also probably ended up doing some things earlier than she wanted and mostly to keep him happy and with her. One time they were just sitting around after school at her house, watching tv on her bed while her parents were both at work. They got a little bit bored so Poppy asked if he wanted something to eat, or drink, or pick another less boring movie - but instead, Aidan turned the TV off and came up close to Poppy. He stated telling her all sorts of things to convince her to fool around, maybe even to go all the way. She didn't like this kind of pressure at all, pushed him away and told him to stop. She told Aidan that at 16 she just wasn't ready to take that step, wasn't ready to do that. That made Aidan really frustrated and mad. He said he would break up with her and leave her if she didn't do what he wanted her to do - to loser her virginity with him. She had a very hard choice to make - she didn't want to be 16 and pregnant, of course, but she didn't want to lose her boyfriend who she really felt that she loved. She made the choice and ended up doing something with him that she would come to regret, and deal with for the rest of her life - she slept with him. Fast forward about a month or two. Poppy started to feel weird and different. She started having weird cravings for strange foods that she would never usually want. She had to go to the bathroom like every five minutes. Also, of course, she ended up feeling nauseous as well, and it got tot he point where she was throwing up every morning - she knew something wasn't quite right and so she told her best friend what had been happening. Her friend looked at her strangely and gave a bit of a wink - "have you DONE anything lately?" And then suddenly Poppy remembered that afternoon after school, with Aidan, when her parents were out. They went to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test, but the whole time she was just thinking - no way, no way could I be pregnant. It was positive - she was pregnant - and she and her friend just sat there in her room hugging and crying together. Poppy has been through a lot since that day. Maybe the worst thing that happened was that she was kicked out of her house by her parents, being 16 and pregnant, and unmarried in a strict Catholic household was not something her parents would accept.she was thrown out to be on her own because her parents were so disappointed in her. She has learned so many lessons. Like one, that you should never be taken advantage of or convinced or pressured to do something you don't want to do. Now she has a beautiful 3 year-old daughter that could never for a moment regret having, BUT she does regret having a baby the way she did, when she did, so young. But she is working now at a job, going back to finish high school, and knows that she and her daughter will be fine, they'll be great. It was just a very hard path to take. - - - We love this true story. What's your story? storybooth wants to hear it! HELLO! :) May 12, 2013 Made this simple present for my lovely mother! ♥ Song: Mama by Spice Girls Mama cover by Mich ft. my brother, Michael Liggayu: :)) ================================================== Sabi nila hanggat di mo pa naeexperience maging mommy di mo daw malalaman kung gano kahirap maging isang mommy. Giving birth is no joke. Madaming pagdadaanan. Sa 9 months na nasa tiyan nila tayo sobra na nila tayo mahalin. Lalo na sa first moment na mayakap nila tayo :) Kaya Mom, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Words aren't enough to explain how much I am grateful to have you and dad in my life. Haha! Mom, I love you so much! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY SEXY MOM! :) Wooohoooo! ♥ DON'T HATE! APPRECIATE ;) Spread the LOVE! ★ DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR STORY ANIMATED? SEND IT TO IT WILL BE GIVEN A VOICE OVER BY A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR AND AN ANIMATOR WILL MAKE A VIDEO OUT OF IT! ★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED Hello, my name is Elle, and I was born when my mom was only 16. You may think it sounds cool when your mom is more like your friend than your parent, but... it’s not. Not at all. It’s weird to think that I am now 18, older than my Mom was when I was born. My mom had me with her first boyfriend, and he and his family moved away as soon as they found out about my Mom’s... situation. I still remember a little bit about how I was a little girl and my Mom was still finishing school and I was with her sometimes, and I was at her graduation. She tried to apply to college afterward, but it didn’t work out, so she ended up working at a store. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, but they still had to work, so I couldn’t just be at their place all the time. Some of those memories are good ones, like when her friends would come over and I would hang out with them, but now I understand that they didn’t really like that, it was more like... they tolerated it. But most of my memories are bad ones - like my Mom changing boyfriends pretty often, I don’t even remember some of them. I think the longest was for 2 years, and it ended a little while after my brother was born, when I was 9. Since he was born, I had to learn to take care of him, because my Mom was always working, and my grandparents weren’t always able to take care of us. In a way, I felt more like a parent to my brother than my Mom. As me and my brother got older, she started to leave us alone more often than usual. Sometimes she would even forget to leave money for food, but at least we were fed in school. Yeah, she needed to work, but she would also just party all weekend sometimes, and when she was home and me or my brother tried to ask her to help us with our homework or something, she would say that she was tired. Of course our Mom wasn’t BAD, she would buy us candy or take us somewhere cool, like the zoo or the amusement park, and those would be the best days of my life. I guess she was a good friend, but not really a good Mom. When I was 15 and my brother was 6, something horrible happened. This was the moment when everything changed. After a long week my mom wanted to relax, so she went to a party with her friends, leaving me and my brother home alone, again. My grandparents were busy, and she planned to be out for just a few hours. I don’t know what happened exactly, but my brother started to feel really sick, he was pale and red at the same time, and I didn’t know if it was food poisoning or a fever or something completely different. I PANICKED and tried to call my Mom, but she didn’t answer, so I was searching through the house for some medicine, too scared to call an ambulance because they would ask questions like where our mom was. I tried to call Mom again, and she answered, but it was so loud and all she could say was, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU SWEETIE!” I was super angry at her, but there was nothing I could do... So I took my brother, sat with him on the bus, and went to the nearest hospital. Nurses were asking me where are our parents were and I said that they had to leave for a couple of hours and their phones had died. I didn’t have to lie a lot, but I had to come up with a few things so that they wouldn’t get too suspicious. My brother was generally okay and ended up having something like food poisoning in the end. My Mom came to the hospital and asked what had happened, and you could see that she was scared. We went home and she tried to talk to us and say she was sorry multiple times, but I didn’t want to talk with her. When we arrived home, I finally told Mom everything I thought about her for the first time in 15 years. I said how tired I was of not being able to ever go out on the weekends because I had to babysit my brother, I said how I was tired of her forgetting about us and never helping us with anything, about how we barely had anything, yet she found the time and money to go to parties. I had no friends or anything because I had to babysit my brother every evening. Then my mom told me everything that was bothering her since my birth: she had always dreamed of becoming a lawyer, or just simply going to college, but she made this one mistake that changed her life. She said that she never ever regretted having me or my brother in her life, but sometimes she just wanted to experience the normal life of a young girl. I said that I also wanted to have the normal life of a young girl. My mom started crying and said she was sorry and that she knew she was a bad mother and she was tired of feeling bad about herself all the time - like she was a bad daughter, a bad mother, and a bad person. ★ DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR STORY ANIMATED? SEND IT TO IT WILL BE GIVEN A VOICE OVER BY A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR AND AN ANIMATOR WILL MAKE A VIDEO OUT OF IT! ★ Subscribe ACTUALLY HAPPENED This guy, who's breaking the toilet, is me. Why am I doing that? I’ll tell you, and I hope you’ll understand why I did it. My name is Josh, I am fourteen, and I come from a small family: it's just my mother and I. Actually my father is also part of our family, but he is always away. He works from dawn till dusk to make my mother and me happy. I mean we are not a poor family, we can buy everything we need, my Mom can keep her housekeeping blog and work from home, and every summer my parents send me to camp. I know that many of you are thinking I’m complaining for nothing right now. But I have to tell you, it feels like I don’t have a father – I basically live with Santa. When I wake up, my dad is already at his job, and he comes home when I'm already sleeping. Every weekend he does different chores around the house, goes shopping, and meets his friends to play poker at their place. I almost never see him and we don't spend time together like other guys do with their fathers. I am glad that he can provide for our family and I am honestly proud of him, but I do miss him very much. My last birthday made me really upset. I invited a lot friends and we just wanted to hang out and make steaks and burgers on the grill. But suddenly my dad received a phone call, gave me my gift, excused himself, and went to his job. And after that I had an idea! I decided to turn into a rebel. The next morning I put on jeans and a t-shirt, instead of my school uniform. Mom got really angry and insisted that I change my clothes. We started screaming and swearing. Then I refused to change clothes, refused to eat breakfast, and left the house abruptly. I knew that I was insulting my mother, but I was trying not to be too rude and it was only temporary anyway. It was all part of the plan. That day at school was also not an ordinary day. I got my first “F” and a warning for being late. To make things clear, this has never happened to me before. Mr. Brown – the principal of our school – is a friend of my parents, which is why he called my mom and asked her to talk to me about my school uniform and my behavior. When I came home, my mother was waiting for me, and she was NOT happy. She tried to find out what was happening with me. I just said something sarcastic and went to my room. My mom shouted at me that when my dad comes home after work, he will talk to me, man to man. I heard it behind the closed door in my room and was so happy. My plan had worked. But dad came home from work really late. I tried waiting up for him for a long time, but eventually fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and realized that I needed to change my strategy. My mom was still offended by me and wouldn't talk to me. I didn't eat my breakfast again and left the house. But this time I did not go to school. I knew that a pizzeria down the street was in need of a janitor. I did not have any pocket money, so I had to earn it. I'm a pretty smart guy, so I was immediately hired to work there. One week went by and every day my mother scolded me for being absent from school, for my bad behavior, and my disobedience. She even tried to drive me to school in her car, but it didn't help - I'd wait for a couple of minutes and then leave. I understood that she was worried and didn't want me to get into trouble, so I never got involved with that crowd. I did not want to upset my mother. I didn't go to school or to work on Monday. Instead I stayed at home. I went into the bathroom, but not to take a shower and get ready. I just started to break the toilet and shut off the faucet. Then I told my mother that I broke faucet and toilet by accident. She did not act surprised. But I said that I would fix everything on my own. Mom reminded me that Dad was a specialist at fixing things in the bathroom and that he would come in the evening and fix everything. But I didn’t want to wait till the evening. When Mom went to write her blog, I took the phone and dialed the number to the plumbing service. I told the manager about the issue and she took down my address. She said that they would send someone over in about ten minutes. Ten minutes later, I heard the door open. It was my father: in his uniform, with a tool box and a puzzled face. I probably need to explain that my dad is a plumber. He is the only plumber working in our area, which is why he is busy all the time. I knew that I could spend time with my father if I called him to fix the bathroom in our home. His services are not cheap, so that's why I had to get the job. I told my parents about everything and said that I had earned the money to pay for my dad's work.. Music by Epidemic Sound:
